How to find your rap style – a step by step guide

I hear that a lot of rappers struggle with finding their own specific style in their rap career. But you shouldn’t be worried about it at all, the uncertainty would make it only worse. So in this article, I will tell you how to find your own style and be sure that it’s yours.

You listen to particular artists because they match your personality. Like if you like light hip-hop tracks for instance from Amine, you wouldn’t listen to Waka Flocka Flame. Yes, I agree that some people are very versatile in music tastes, but it’s for sure that most of their favorite artists will determine your character and thus you need to look up for them, maybe make a list and compare it. Listen to their songs and write down, which unique qualities or small parts you love in the track.
